We rent quality student accommodation in Plymouth exclusively to full-time students age 21+. You must be 21 or over at the start of your tenancy.
All of our properties are strictly non-smoking.
With very few exceptions tenancies are for a fixed period of 12 months (52 weeks), usually from September to September.
We collect rent termly in advance, by three equal payments. The first rent instalment is payable at the tenancy start date, which can be before the beginning of the term.
Our rents exclude the cost of electricity, gas and water. Most student properties have a water meter, so you only pay for the water that you use.
Broadband internet is networked through all of our student flats and student shared houses, so everyone has a broadband connection in their bedroom. Most properties have both wired and wireless networks, but some are wireless only.
We provide a detailed inventory of furniture, fixtures and fittings that all tenants are required to check and sign when they move in to their student accommodation. This is then checked again at the end of the tenancy before tenancy deposits are returned.

We undertake accompanied viewings by appointment at times that suit you. We will be happy to show you a selection of student rooms in different properties, ranging from single student rooms starting at £55 per week, double student rooms from £68 per week, large double student rooms from £78 per week and massive double student rooms from £80 per week. We offer en-suite bedrooms, which have exclusive use of a shower room (wash basin, WC and shower) from £95 per week.
All of the student houses and student flats that we own have undergone major refurbishment to bring them up to the very high standard that we provide. All are furnished with new carpets and furniture before being offered via the Accommodation Office at the University of Plymouth and MARJON. All are clean and bright with modern fitted kitchens and bathrooms/shower rooms. Most are double glazed and all have central heating.
The University of Plymouth Accommodation Office inspects all of our student houses and student flats annually and grade them according to the quality of accommodation and the quality of management. All of our student houses and flats achieve the highest standard - "Grade A" accreditation.
All of our properties have just one kitchen, but in student houses with more than 6 students sharing, the kitchen has 2 ovens, 2 hobs, 2 sinks and 2 fridge/freezers, so there’s always plenty of space for everyone in the kitchen. Every kitchen has a microwave oven and at least one fridge/freezer or separate fridge and freezer. All are fully equipped with everything that you might need (except sharp knives!). Every student in a student shared house is guaranteed their own base and wall cupboard in the fitted kitchen, so there is ample space to store your food and any personal cooking utensils that you might want to bring with you.
All of our student houses and flats have a washing machine and tumble dryer (or washer/dryer in smaller properties with up to 5 sharing).
We keep our properties up to date by listening to what our tenants tell us and being receptive to their suggestions; we were one of the first student landlords in Plymouth to offer broadband internet networks in all of our properties, so that every student in every room has internet access from the moment they move in until the day they move out. No waiting around to open an account with an internet service provider or waiting for weeks for workmen to come and install the service, or waiting for the postman to deliver a modem that you then spend hours setting up. Our broadband connections are plug-and-play – it couldn’t be simpler!
All of our student houses and flats have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC); every property has been assessed by an independent Government accredited Domestic Energy Assessor. The EPC gives our tenants information on the energy efficiency of their home. Each property has a energy and carbon emission efficiency grade from ‘A’ to ‘G’, where ‘A’ is the best and with a national average of D/E. The EPC is displayed on the notice board inside each student house or student flat. Please ask to see it when you view our properties.
Because our student properties are maintained to a high standard the likelihood of any problems during your time with us is minimised. Inevitably, despite our efforts, maintenance issues do arise from time to time. You can be confident that you will be able to contact us 24/7 to report anything that needs attention. We deal promptly and efficiently with all maintenance issues, so whether you have a dripping tap, a broken light bulb, or the shower stops working, we will deal with it just as soon as you report it to us.
Most of our student rooms have a double bed; we offer a few smaller rooms with single beds, which appeal to those on a limited budget – whilst the room size and rent are reduced these rooms still offer the same high levels of comfort and quality as our larger student rooms.
All of our student houses and flats are fully furnished with modern furniture and clean carpets (or stripped pine floorboards and a rug); all bedrooms have a comfortable bed, a bedside cupboard, a desk and chair, shelves or a bookcase and a wardrobe.
Our properties are fully equipped with everything that you need with the exception only of bedding and towels. For more information see packing hints and tips.
Whilst some of our student rooms have private en-suite shower rooms, most of our student rooms have shared use of shower or bathrooms. As a minimum standard we provide at least one shower and toilet for every five student tenants. This standard is exceeded in the vast majority of our student houses and flats.
