All of our student houses and flats are in quiet residential streets a short walk from Plymouth University, Plymouth College of Art and Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry (PCMD). From the nearby district shopping centre on Mutley Plain regular bus services offer quick and easy access to the Peninsula Allied Health Centre (PAHC) and University College Plymouth St Mark and St John (UCP MARJON) north of Plymouth at Derriford.

All our student accommodation is in Mutley, the area most popular with students. We don’t have properties in places like St Judes, Lipson, Peverell, Laira, Pennycomequick or Stoke, because we know students don’t want to live there. Although our student houses and flats are not within walking distance of the Peninsula Allied Health Centre (PAHC) and University College Plymouth St Mark and St John (UCP MARJON) at Derriford, we rent loads of rooms to students studying on the UCP Marjon campus because, as you'll know if you’re already a student at MARJON, it’s a great place to study but not a great place to live! Most students at UCP MARJON choose to live in the more popular student area of Mutley and travel each day the short distance to Uni.

From all of our student accommodation it's just a short walk to Mutley Plain, where you will find shops, banks, cafes and bars. Costcutter, Tesco and two Co-Op supermarkets offer food shopping; there's a Post Office, Barclays, Lloyds TSB, Halifax and HSBC banks and Nationwide Building Society. Boots Chemist, Alliance Pharmacy and Superdrug are also to be found, as are a butcher, baker, newsagent, barbers, hairdressers and opticians.

Fast food is available at Dominoes Pizza, KFC and Pizza Hut, plus numerous others. Excellent fish & chips are available from Perillas (who offer student discounts). Goodbodies (GB’s) all-night café/bar also serve food and alcohol. Mutley Plain also boasts eight other bars/pubs.

Within half a mile of our properties the city centre of Plymouth offers more extensive shopping, restaurants, night clubs and bars and all of the other facilities that you would expect to find in a city with a population in excess of 240,000.
